Solo Exhibit In France

Date Published: 1/21/2009

Members of Croissy sans Frontieres in conjunction with Friends of la Grenouillere have invited Brian DeWolf for a solo exhibit of his work during the annual festival celebrating the birth of Impressionist painting.  .

Founded in 1995, Friends of Grenouillere association aims to restore the site of La Grenouillère, the birthplace of Impressionism, and to rebuild the famous 19th century dance hall described by Maupassant in his short stories and painted by Monet and Renoir in 1869, five years before Monet's 'Impression soleil levant' initiated the movement.

The association does research on la Grenouillère, Impressionist art, on boating on the Seine River, holds conferences, exhibitions, and organizes visits and events at the original site. Since May 1998, it founded and runs the Musée de la Grenouillère at Croissy-sur-Seine in the Maison Joséphine.

ADG now numbers 300 members in the Paris region plus corresponding members in Europe and North America. It is based in Croissy-sur-Seine's town hall, Hôtel de Ville, 6bis, Grande Rue, BP 10, 78290 Croissy-sur-Seine.
